Friends of the Library Meeting

Friends group meets in the backroom of the library. The meeting is open to the public. 

Curators Film Club: "Goethe's Faust"

Curators Film Club meets every other week on Thursday nights and begins with an introduction of the film followed by discussion afterwards. The Film "Goeth's Faustt" was produced in 1926 and has a running length of 116 minutes. The film association has rated it as NR (Not rated). Parental permission for children under 17 years of age is required for the Curators Film Club as film rating has changed over the years. 

Curators Film Club: "Babette's Feast"

Curators Film Club meets every other week on a Thursday nights and begins with an introduction of the film followed by discussion afterwards. The Film "Babette's Feast" was produced in 1987 and has a running length of 102 minutes. It is rated G. Parental permission for children under 17 years of age is required for the Curators Film Club as film rating has changed over the years. 

Curators Film Club Screening: "Chimes at Midnight" Starring Orson Welles. Rated NR 116minutes

The Library will host the Curator's Film Club every other Thursday night at 7:30pm. Each meeting will consist of a free film screening to be preluded and followed by discussion. NOTE: Participants under the age of 17 must have parental permission to attend the screenings. 

Curators Film Club Screening: "Blade Runner" Starring Harrison Ford. Rated R. 117minutes

Kids Book Club

Open to grades 2-5. The October book of discussion is "Rabbit Hill." Copies available for pickup at the Library. This book club formerly met on Saturdays but has been changed to the 2nd Tuesdays of the Month for the school year. 

Spring Valley Library Board Meeting

Public meeting open to all. Come and share any concerns or comments with the Spring Valley Library Board. 

Book Sale: Friends of the Library sponsored event

Friends of the Spring Valley Library will be holding a book sale featuring the weeded books of the Spring Valley Library. Adult non-fiction, sci-fi/fantasy and children's step-into-reading books will be primary feature of this sale.
