Department of Workforce Development

A representatve from the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development is available at the Library every second Friday of the month to assist those who are job searching and applying online and writing resumes. Please contact the Library to set up an appointment. Walk-ins are also welcome.

Children's Book Club

The Children's book club will meet to discuss the book "My Teacher is an Alien" by Bruce Coville. Snacks will be provided. This book club is open to grades 2-5 and members take turns selecting book club titles. 

Library CLOSED for Thanksgiving

The Library will be CLOSED on Thursday, November 24 for the Thanksgiving holiday. 

Friends of the SV Library Annual Meeting and Membership Social

The Friends of the Spring Valley Library will host their annual board and membership social in the backroom of the Library. Refreshments will be served and current members are invited to attend and new members are welcome to sign up as a member during this time. Friends of the Spring Valley Library Board Meeting

The Friends of the Library board meets on the second Tuesday of the month with meetings open to the public and all Friends of the Library members. The Friends group is a non-profit organization created to fundraise and advocate for the SV Library and supply volunteer support and funds for library programs and books. Interested in becoming a Friend? Contact the Library for a membership form.

Curators Film Club: "Goethe's Faust"

Curators Film Club meets every other week on Thursday nights and begins with an introduction of the film followed by discussion afterwards. The Film "Goeth's Faustt" was produced in 1926 and has a running length of 116 minutes. The film association has rated it as NR (Not rated). Parental permission for children under 17 years of age is required for the Curators Film Club as film rating has changed over the years.

Curators Film Club meets every other week on a Thursday nights and begins with an introduction of the film followed by discussion afterwards. The Film "Babette's Feast" was produced in 1987 and has a running length of 102 minutes. It is rated G. Parental permission for children under 17 years of age is required for the Curators Film Club as film rating has changed over the years.
